Activity 2: Making a Fashion Statement Red for inportant , Blue for question , and black for the main story
In the years following World War II, things slowly returned to normal in New Zealand. Soldiers returned home and settled back into regular life; and national sporting teams, like the New Zealand cricket team, got back together and started playing matches again. In the late 1940s, men and women would go to watch these events, men wearing hats and suits and women wearing dresses, hats, and gloves.
Compare the pictures of common clothing from the late 1940s to what you wear now (i.e. in 2017). Are they similar or are they quite different?
There is so much diffrent to now and then because in this photo there is only black wight and brown and now there are verity of colours I would like to sugest I like 2017 beter then the olden days pluse these people could be alive or not I am not quite shoure how they dress up but if they are alive they must be wering 2017 cloths wich is so colour full onother thing I am adding is moblile phoe it is so good because if you get stuck or you school gets on fire or you get sent from school early you can alway contact you pearents but some people use it for diffarent perposes which afect children because they useso things wich the mobile is not made for.
What do you think write your idears down below ?
Hi Siyona,
ReplyDeleteRuby here from the Summer Learning Journey team!
You have some interesting thoughts! The clothes in those photos are quite different from the clothes that people wear today. They don't look very comfortable either.
Your thoughts about phones are interesting. They do make a lot of things easier! It also makes it easier to take photos wherever you are. These photos here in black and white do make it harder to see what sorts of clothes people are wearing.
What sorts of clothes do you think people will be wearing in another 65 years? I think they'll be quite different again!
I look forward to reading more of your blogs over summer.
Cheers,
Ruby.
